1
Is Heal & Blossom in your home?
No, Heal & Blossom is not in my home; we are located in a purpose-built building at the bottom of my garden. This serene space has been thoughtfully designed to provide a calming and nurturing environment for your treatments, ensuring you feel relaxed and at ease during your visit.
2
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is parking available on the driveway of Ivy Cottage or in the lay-by opposite.
3
Is reflexology painful or ticklish?
Reflexology is generally not painful; it should feel soothing and relaxing. While some areas may be slightly tender, the pressure can be adjusted to your comfort level. Most people do not find reflexology ticklish, as the focus is on firm, targeted pressure rather than light touches. If you have any concerns, feel free to discuss them with me!
4
Is reflexology suitable for everyone?
Reflexology is suitable for most people, but it's important to consult your therapist if you have specific health concerns or medical conditions.
5
Is reflexology safe during pregnancy?
Reflexology is safe and beneficial throughout pregnancy, provided it is performed by a practitioner trained in maternity reflexology. It can help ease morning sickness, anxiety, backache and fatigue.
6
Can Reflexology Cure Diseases?
No: Reflexologists do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. It is a complementary therapy that works alongside conventional medicine to support the body's self-healing capabilities.
7
Is Reflexology the Same as Massage?
No: Reflexology is a precise technique that maps specific points, whereas massage usually focuses on muscles, skin, and overall relaxation.
8
What does a body massage involve and what do I wear?
You undress to your comfort level (usually underwear) and are covered with a towel throughout, with only the area being treated exposed. It typically includes the back, legs, arms, back, shoulders, neck, and chest using oil to help glide over the skin.
9
Can an Indian head massage help with hair growth?
Yes, by increasing blood flow to the scalp and nourishing hair follicles.
10
What to do after treatment?
Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins, stay relaxed, avoid intense exercise for 24 hours, and avoid heavy meals or alcohol.
